Santa Clara author and artist, Clarence Robert "Bob" Tower, will be talking about how he published his charmingly illustrated historical fiction novel, The Adventures of Zach Gentry: a Tongue-in-Cheek History of the Opening of the West, using Amazon's CreateSpace. The book is now for sale on Amazon's Kindle Books and on Smashword.com.
Bob has invited his agent, Carol Zimmerman, of The Von Raesfled Agency to assist him in discussing the CreateSpace process and the many new options and tools for authors that self-publish. As part of the program, Bob has also invited his friend Kathleen Gonzalez to talk about the publishing field. Kathleen, a teacher and a writer has been published by Simon & Schuster and has written many feature articles for newspapers and journals. However, she has also started her own publishing imprint, Ca'Specchio, and self published books about Venice. Her latest book is Seductive Venice: In Casanova's Footsteps, a Venice guidebook and e-book about the places associated with the life of one of the world's most famous lovers!
A book-signing program will follow the lecture. Books by both authors will be available for sale.
