Board of Library Trustees
Meets the first Monday of the month, 7 pm, Library Board Room, 2nd Floor
Reserving Library Community Rooms
When not in use for programs and activities sponsored by the Library, these spaces may be reserved by eligible organizations. Policies approved by the City Attorney and Board of Library Trustees govern the use of these spaces, which may be reserved through Library Administration by calling 1-408-615-2930. An application process is required. Effective July 1, 2010, outside groups will not be able to use the two large community rooms on weekends.
Two Large Community Rooms:
- Redwood Room
Room Capacity: 125 chairs, or 24 tables and chairs (48 people seated)
- Cedar Room
Room Capacity: 100 chairs, or 16 tables and chairs (32 people seated)
Fees for Use of Redwood and Cedar Community Rooms:
- Room Use Fee: $40.00/hour with a 2 hour minimum
- Audio/Visual Set-up Fee: $30.00/hour
- Food Clean-up Fee: $36.00 Non-refundable
One Conference Room
- Sycamore Room Room Capacity: 5 to 10 people
Fees for Use of Sycamore Room:
- No charge for use of the room
- Food Clean-up Fee: $36.00 Deposit - Refundable if room is left clean
Library Wheelchair and Walker Use
The Library Foundation and Friends have provided SCCL with two wheelchairs and one walker for use in the Central Park Library by individuals who have limited or impaired mobility. Patrons interested in using this equipment must complete an agreement form available in the Library Administration Office on the 2nd floor.
Use of Camera/Video Equipment in the Library
Anyone wishing to make audio or video recording in - or take general pictures of - the public areas of the Library building and its collections will be allowed to do so by completing permission request available in the Library Administration Office on the 2nd floor.
